Our Team

Cheryl Clarke headshotCheryl A. Clarke is an accomplished author, trainer and fundraising consultant.  She is the author of Storytelling for Grantseekers: A Guide to Creative Nonprofit Fundraising and co-author of Grant Proposal Makeover: Transform Your Request from No to Yes.  A natural-born storyteller, Cheryl effectively integrates stories in her work to help amazing nonprofit organizations succeed at raising philanthropic funds.   She is honored to have worked in nearly all sectors in the nonprofit field, including education, arts, environment, social services, health care, youth development, senior services and faith based.   Before launching her consulting practice in 1995, she held senior development positions at the University of California-San Francisco, the University of San Francisco School of Law and The Marine Mammal Center.  She has served on several nonprofit boards of directors and is currently on the fund development committee for a community theater.  Cheryl has a law degree from the University of San Francisco and a BSJ from Northwestern University. 

 

Sira AndersonSira Anderson is a talented writer, grants manager and database specialist. Fundraising since 2001, she has written hundreds of persuasive grant proposals, case statements, appeal letters and marketing materials for environmental, youth development, educational and social-service nonprofits. Sira excels at translating sophisticated ideas into accessible language that is both clear and compelling to prospective funders.  Prior to her consulting work, she served as Development Manager at San Francisco's Jewish Vocational Service. Sira is a Minnesota native and has a B.A. from Oberlin College.

 

 

Gabriella Giannini headshotGabriella Giannini is a skilled grantwriter and grants manager, with additional experience in special events and annual giving.  She was a Development Special Events Fellow at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater and Development Associate at Marin Theater Company.  Currently, Gabriella oversees a portfolio of 130+ institutional funders at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra while also providing grantwriting services at The Clarke Group.  She has a B.A. from the University of the Pacific and a M.A. from American University.
